Hagstrom produced the C-54-U as a dedicated hardshell case for the Alvar Arch Top Series guitar. The exterior is finished in a vintage tan Tolex with a Hagstrom logo, and seams are reinforced with heavy brown stitching and leatherette stitched sides.
The shell is constructed from high-grade plywood. Closure is handled by heavy-duty gold-plated latches, and the case carries an ergonomically designed soft handle. The interior features a deep plush lining intended to limit movement of the instrument within the case.
Owners fitting or retrofitting this case to an Alvar Arch Top Series instrument should verify fit with a qualified guitar technician, particularly if the instrument has had any neck, strap button or hardware modifications that could affect how it seats in the interior cavity.
