Description

Dunlop positioned the M76-MXR-U Studio Compressor within the MXR effects line as a compressor pedal built around Constant Headroom Technology, targeting players who required recording-quality compression in a true bypass format.

The unit offered four selectable compression ratios — 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 — with an attack range of 20 µs to 800 µs and a release range of 50 ms to 1.1 s, allowing precise dynamic control across a wide range of source signals. Input impedance was rated at 1 MΩ and output impedance at 600 Ω, with a frequency response of ±1 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
