Description

Dunlop produced the M299-U MXR Carbon Copy Mini Analog Delay as a compact version of the Carbon Copy analog delay, housed in an MXR mini enclosure. It occupied the analog delay category of the MXR effects line, offering a reduced footprint for space-conscious pedalboard configurations.

The pedal delivered analog delay with modulation capability. Delay time ranged from 20 ms to 600 ms, and modulation speed ran from 0.2 Hz to 2.2 Hz. A Bright switch provided an additional tonal option. The unit featured true hardwire bypass, drew 26 mA, and ran on a standard 9-volt DC power supply. Input impedance measured 1 MΩ and output impedance 1 kΩ, with a maximum input level of +5 dBV at 500 Hz and a maximum output level of +8 dBV. Noise floor measured -96 dBV with the mix control at maximum clockwise and -104 dBV at maximum counter-clockwise. Delay distortion came in at under 1% at 1 kHz with a -5 dBV input, and onboard noise reduction operated at a 2:1 ratio.
