The pedal was built around a Fasel inductor, which Dunlop credited with producing a vintage wah tone. True bypass switching ensured the signal passed unaltered through the circuit when the effect was disengaged. Operating on 9 volts DC, the unit drew 2.5 mA at bypass, presented an input impedance of 1 MΩ and an output impedance of 1 kΩ, and maintained a noise floor of -102 dBV.
