Cort built the L450-C-NS as part of the Luce Series, positioning it as an alternative to the dreadnought format. The series offered smaller body shapes — including OM, Concert, and Parlor configurations — and the L450-C-NS occupied the Concert slot. Cort described the Luce Series as balancing what it called vintage looks from the Golden Era of guitars with modern practical features.
The instrument was constructed with a dovetail neck joint and an all-mahogany tonewoods palette: a solid African Mahogany (Okoume) top, solid African Mahogany (Okoume) back, African Mahogany (Okoume) sides, and a Mahogany (Palaquium) neck. The bracing pattern is Advanced Scalloped X-Bracing. The fretboard and bridge are both Ovangkol, with 20 frets across a 643mm (25.3") scale length. The 43mm (1 11/16") nut width and concert body size reflect the series' intent toward playability. Ornamentation includes Snowflake inlays and a Multiple Abalone rosette. The guitar shipped with D'Addario EXP16 strings.
Owners requiring replacement hardware, Ovangkol fretboard care products, or compatible bridge saddle and nut blanks sized for this specification should consult a luthier or specialist parts supplier with the dimensions listed in this record.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
