Cort built the CR250-VB as part of the CR (Classic Rock) Series, positioning it as a set-neck electric guitar designed to reflect the look, feel, and performance of vintage instruments from the Golden Era of electric guitars. The model sat within a line centred on delivering an authentic vintage rock character through targeted hardware and pickup choices.
The CR250-VB pairs a mahogany body with a flamed maple top and a set mahogany neck, joining at a jatoba fretboard with a 305mm (12") radius, 22 frets, and rectangular white pearl inlays. The 42mm nut — fitted with a Graph-Tech Nubone Nut — leads to a 628mm (24.75") scale length. Hardware throughout is nickel-finished, with vintage-style tuners and a tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece. The Voiced Tone VTH-59 pickups are PAF-inspired humbuckers wound with Alnico II magnets and 0.06" custom-gauge coils; they are controlled via two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way selector switch. Ivory binding and the Vintage Burst finish complete the aesthetic. The guitar was strung from the factory with D'Addario XL110 strings.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece accept standard T.O.M.-pattern components, the 42mm nut width is compatible with widely available pre-cut or blank Nubone and similarly dimensioned replacements, and the humbuckers are mounted in standard-route cavities.
