Neck & Fit Visuals
Fretboard radius, neck profile, and fitment visualizations land here as the B11 spec engine rolls out.
Ampeg positioned the PF-350-U as part of its Portaflex series — a line designed to carry the character of the original Portaflex format into a compact, touring-practical head format. The unit delivered 350 watts into a 4-ohm load and 250 watts into an 8-ohm load, and was paired by Ampeg with the PF Series flip-top cabinets to recreate the flip-top aesthetic of the classic Portaflex originals.
The PF-350-U's feature set centred on practical stage and studio utility: a built-in limiter, an effects loop, and a direct output. The tone stack offered substantial range — treble cut and boost of 25 dB and 19 dB respectively at 8 kHz, bass boost of 14 dB and cut of 12 dB at 40 Hz, and a midrange control centred at 500 Hz. Maximum gain with tone controls centred reached 64 dB. Signal-to-noise ratio was rated at 75 dB unweighted across the full 20 Hz–20 kHz band. The unit ran on both 100–120 VAC and 200–240 VAC supplies at 50–60 Hz, drawing approximately 100 watts. At 7.8 lb / 3.5 kg, the head measured 2.7 in high by 10.8 in wide by 10.7 in deep.
Owners seeking speaker cable specifications, cabinet impedance matching guidance, or effects loop level compatibility should consult a qualified guitar or bass technician with the unit's documentation to hand.
