Washburn built the EA20SNB as part of their Nuno Bettencourt Series, a signature line developed around the playing requirements of the Extreme guitarist. The model occupied a distinct position in Washburn's acoustic-electric catalogue, centred on a thin-body Florentine Jumbo Cutaway shape that prioritised upper-fret access alongside acoustic projection.
The top is solid Sitka Spruce, braced with quarter-sawn scalloped Sitka Spruce bracing. Back and sides are Rosewood, and the bridge is also Rosewood. The satin Mahogany neck carries a two-way truss rod and a 25.5" scale. The Rosewood fretboard is fitted with a 43mm Graphtech Nubone nut and features Custom Mourning Widow inlays, echoed in the Custom Mourning Widow rosette. Electronics are handled by a Fishman 301T preamp system. Hardware includes chrome diecast tuners. Strings fitted were a D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze set.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Graphtech Nubone nut blanks sized to 43mm, Fishman 301T-compatible components, or Rosewood bridge saddles cut to a 25.5" scale — should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier to confirm fit against the specific instrument in hand.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
