Description

Ibanez produced the ES3 Echo Shifter as a delay and echo effects pedal. The unit offered both analog and digital delay modes within a single enclosure, selectable via a dedicated switch, positioning it as a versatile studio and stage tool for players who required a range of echo textures from one device.

The ES3 provided five controls — Mix, Feedback, Depth, Speed, and Delay Time — alongside switches for Effect On/Off, Tap Tempo with Oscillation (press-and-hold), Analog/Digital mode selection, Modulation On/Off, and an Inst/Line level toggle. Analog delay time ran from 40ms to 600ms; digital delay extended that range to 1500ms. The unit drew 200mA at 9V DC via an external adapter and measured 116mm wide by 153mm deep by 57mm tall. A single input and a single output handled the signal path.
