Cort built the GB55-JJ-NAT as part of the GB Series, positioning it as a bolt-on construction electric bass that drew on a proven body and bridge design while pairing those elements with updated electronics and machine heads.
The NAT variant carries a swamp ash body finished in Natural Glossy, paired with a Canadian Hard-Maple neck finished in gloss and a maple fretboard. Rectangular black inlays mark the 20-fret fingerboard across a 34-inch scale. The bass runs passive electronics configured as two volumes and one tone control, driving a pair of Voiced Tone VTB-ST pickups. Hardware throughout is chrome, including the open-gear tuners and the vintage-style bridge.
Owners needing setup work, fretboard maintenance, or hardware sourcing should consult a qualified luthier or bass technician familiar with bolt-on instruments; the 47.5mm nut width and vintage bridge specification are useful reference points when sourcing replacement components.

What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
