Ibanez produced the IBBMIKRO as a custom-fitted gig bag designed specifically for the miKro series short-scale electric bass guitars. It sat as an accessory within the miKro line, purpose-built to match the compact dimensions of those instruments rather than adapted from a standard full-scale bag pattern.
The bag is constructed to a lightweight profile — 0.78 kg — with an exterior envelope of 1050 mm × 345 mm × 65 mm and an interior cavity of 1020 mm overall length with a 50 mm interior depth. Interior sectional dimensions account for the miKro body profile: a lower body width of 325 mm, an upper body width of 310 mm, a lower body length of 470 mm, and a neck channel of 170 mm. The bag includes shoulder pads and a bottom pocket. The exterior is finished in black.
Owners requiring hardware service, strap adjustments, or instrument setup should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with short-scale bass instruments.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
