Schecter produced the SGR-6B as a molded hardcase designed to fit C-shape six-string bass guitars. It sat within the SGR accessories line as a purpose-built protective solution for basses with that body profile.
The shell is constructed from PE (polyethylene) plastic with a heavy-duty black aluminum valance running the perimeter. Interior protection is provided by EPS foam lined with deep plush material. The handle is through-bolted for additional strength, and closure is handled by black powder-coated metal latches, with the centre latch featuring a lock. Three accessory compartments are built into the interior. The case was manufactured in China.
