Electro Harmonix produced the Nano Big Muff Pi as a compact form of their classic NYC Big Muff Pi circuit, positioning it as a functionally identical counterpart to the full-size unit housed in a smaller enclosure. The pedal carried the same distortion and sustain character as the standard Big Muff Pi, differing only in its physical footprint.
The Nano Big Muff Pi featured true bypass switching and offered controls for adjustable tone alongside its distortion and sustain functions. It shipped with a 9-volt battery and was designed to accept an optional external 9.6 VDC power supply. The unit drew approximately 3 mA at 9 VDC and measured 2.75" wide by 4.5" long by 2.1" tall, fitting the nano enclosure format common to the Electro Harmonix compact pedal range.
Owners sourcing a replacement power supply should verify compatibility with the 9.6 VDC, 200 mA specification and confirm the correct polarity before use. For internal servicing or component-level repair, a qualified electronics technician familiar with effects pedal circuitry is the appropriate resource.

What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
