Electro Harmonix produced the Micro POG (Polyphonic Octave Generator) as a compact, simplified derivative of the original POG, housed in a diecast chassis designed to sit comfortably on a pedalboard. It occupied the lower tier of the POG family, trading the expanded controls of its predecessor for a smaller footprint without altering the core polyphonic tracking engine.

The unit generates three simultaneous signal paths: the original dry pitch, one octave up, and one octave down, each governed by its own dedicated volume control. Tracking is polyphonic, meaning chords, arpeggios, and single notes are all processed without glitching. The chassis provides two output jacks — a dry output and an effect output — allowing the two signals to be routed independently. The included power supply is the 96DC-200BI unit. Electrical characteristics are a 2 MΩ input impedance, 250 Ω output impedance, and a 9.6 VDC / 200 mA power requirement. The enclosure measures 4.0″ wide × 4.75″ long × 2.25″ high.
