Electro Harmonix produced the Holy Grail as a compact digital reverb pedal positioned as an accessible entry point into studio-quality reverb for guitar players. It sat in the Electro Harmonix effects line as a straightforward, single-purpose unit built around three distinct reverb modes selectable via a rotary control.
The pedal offered three reverb types: a Spring emulation, a Hall reverb voiced specifically for guitar, and Flerb — a mode combining flanging with spatial reverb. The unit featured true bypass switching. Power was supplied by an included 96DC-200BI supply at 9.6 VDC, 200 mA, with the pedal drawing 103 mA at 9 VDC. Input impedance is rated at 270 kΩ. The enclosure measures 7.8" wide by 4.3" long by 4.3" tall.
Owners sourcing replacement footswitches, knobs, or power supplies should confirm the 9.6 VDC centre-negative specification before substituting any supply, and consult a qualified guitar technician for internal service or bypass wiring repairs.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
