- Chorus Configuration
- Dual chorus circuit
Ampeg produced the Liquifier-U as an analog chorus pedal. Its dual chorus circuit gave the unit two simultaneous chorus paths, positioning it as a compact stompbox capable of both subtle, modulated tones and more pronounced, heavily processed chorus effects.
The Liquifier-U accepted input signals up to 1.1V RMS before clipping and presented a 1 MΩ input impedance, making it compatible with passive and active instrument outputs alike. Output impedance was 200Ω. The pedal operated at unity gain maximum. In fully wet mode, frequency response was rated at 100 Hz–5 kHz (±3.0 dB); in fully dry mode, the unit passed 20 Hz–20 kHz at ±0.5 dB. Signal-to-noise ratio was 82 dB at full wet and 94 dB at full dry. The enclosure measured 2.2 × 2.6 × 4.5 inches and weighed approximately 0.6 lb. Power was supplied by an internal 9V battery or an external 9V DC centre-negative adapter drawing no more than 56 mA.
Owners requiring service, internal inspection, or help integrating the Liquifier-U into a signal chain should consult a qualified electronics technician familiar with effects pedal circuitry.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
