Shipping

What it costs, when it leaves the shop, and how we pack an instrument so it arrives the way it left.

Last updated 27 July 2026

We commit to the date your order leaves the shop, not the date it lands on your porch — once it is on the truck the carrier owns the clock. For a date range against your own ZIP, use the delivery estimator on any product page.

What shipping costs

Orders of $499 or more ship free within the contiguous United States. Below that, shipping is calculated at checkout from your address — no padded handling fees.

When it ships

In-stock orders placed by 3:00 pm CT on a business day ship the same day. Orders placed after that, or on a weekend or holiday, ship the next business day.

In-stock, ordered by 3:00 pm CT on a business day
Ships the same day.
Ordered after 3:00 pm CT, or on a weekend or holiday
Ships the next business day.
Order includes Pro Bench Setup
Add 1–2 business days before it ships.
Item on backorder
Flagged on the product page before you order, and we confirm the expected date with you.

If something is on backorder, the product page says so before you order, and we'll confirm the expected date with you rather than let it sit silently.

Bench setup

If you add Pro Bench Setup to an instrument, allow an extra 1–2 business days before it ships. It goes on the bench, gets dialed in, and gets checked again before it's boxed.

How it gets there

We ship via UPS and FedEx. Transit time depends on your distance from our shop — use the delivery estimator on any product page for a date range against your ZIP. Tracking is emailed as soon as the label is cut.

Instruments

Guitars and basses ship double-boxed with the strings slackened and the neck supported.

The exception that catches people out

If an instrument ships in a hard case, the case ships inside an outer carton — a case alone is not shipping protection.

Outside the lower 48

Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and international orders are quoted individually. Contact us with your address and what you're after and we'll get you a real number.

What to do next

Damaged on arrival? Photograph the carton before unpacking and contact us the same day — see our returns policy.

  • Photograph the carton before you unpack it. Once it is open, the shipping damage is far harder to prove.
