Ibanez built the TCB1006ALM as part of the TCB Signature Series, a six-string electric bass positioned toward players requiring extended range alongside premium tonewoods and hardware. The instrument featured a set-in neck construction and was finished in Autumn Leaf Burst Matte.
The bass was built around a Curly Maple body with a Quilted Maple top and Curly Maple back, paired with a five-piece Maple/Purpleheart neck. The bound Rosewood fretboard carried acrylic block inlays across 24 jumbo frets with Prestige fret edge treatment, and measured 400mmR radius. Nut width came in at 58mm, widening to 98mm at the 24th fret, with neck thicknesses of 20mm at the first fret and 23mm at the twelfth. Scale length was 864mm/34 inches. Hardware was finished in gold throughout. The Hipshot A-style bridge, fitted with Graph Tech Ghost saddle pickups, set string spacing at 19mm. Two passive EMG 45HZ pickups — one at the neck, one at the bridge — fed into the Graph Tech Ghost modular pickup system. The instrument left the factory tuned B–E–A–D–G–C (low to high) with string gauges running .029/.049/.069/.089/.109/.128.
Owners sourcing replacement saddles, bridge components, or nut blanks should verify dimensions against the specifications above before ordering; a qualified luthier or guitar technician can assist with setup, nut replacement, and piezo system maintenance on this instrument.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
