Washburn built the R360SMK-U as part of its Revival Series, positioning it as a parlor-bodied biscuit resonator guitar finished in Vintage Matte. The Revival Series was Washburn's line dedicated to resonator instruments drawing on established acoustic traditions, and the parlor format placed the R360SMK-U toward the compact, fingerpicker-friendly end of that range.
The guitar was constructed with a spalted maple top, back, and sides — an uncommon choice for a resonator instrument, where tonewood selection contributes to the overall acoustic character alongside the metal resonator cone and biscuit saddle assembly. The fingerboard is rosewood. A biscuit-style resonator cone was specified, distinguishing it from spider-bridge resonator designs. The instrument was supplied with case GC141.
