Washburn developed the N24VINTAGEK-D-U as part of the Nuno Bettencourt Signature N Series, a line Bettencourt shaped around his requirements for a fast neck and unobstructed upper-fret access. The guitar carries a double-cut solid body configuration and a reverse headstock, positioning it as a high-performance electric built to Bettencourt's specifications.
The body is agathis, paired with a five-bolt maple neck featuring the Stephens Extended Cutaway heel joint. The rosewood fretboard runs 22 frets at a 25.5-inch scale, with dot inlays throughout. A 43 mm chrome locking nut anchors the string path, which continues to a Floyd Rose Special bridge and Grover Exclusive 18:1 chrome tuners. The pickup arrangement pairs a Washburn neck humbucker with a Bill Lawrence bridge humbucker, selected via a three-way toggle. A single volume control with push-pull coil tap completes the electronics. All hardware is chrome. The guitar ships strung with D'Addario EXL120 light-gauge strings and carries a Vintage Matte finish.
Owners requiring setup work, locking nut adjustment, Floyd Rose maintenance, or coil-tap wiring service should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
