The Tube Amp Doctor Blackplate series offers the highest tube performance due to the stable heat dissipation of the black anode. This results in an increased tube-life and tones that rival the classic NOS tubes. The EL84S-STR offers rich sounding breakup with its warm and pleasant mid tones. These tubes are matched for both plate current and transconductance. The EL84S-STR pass all of the tests of the TAD Premium Selection process. The TAD EL84S-STR can be used in any standard EL84, 6BQ5, 6P14P, or N709 position.

Note: The TAD EL84S-STR has a 22.5mm diameter and does not fit into older Marshall DSL401 and UK made VOX AC15 TBX amplifiers. Please check your amp before ordering.
